  • Resumen
    • The article discusses graphene, a sheet of carbon that is one-atom-thick. Only recently could physicists isolate graphene. Graphene, a pure, flawless crystal, conducts electricity at room temperature faster than any substance. Graphene may enable engineers to construct a number of products such as ultrahigh-speed transistors. Another benefit of graphene is that physicists are finding that they can test theories heretofore thought to be measurable only in black holes and particle accelerators. INSETS: THE MOTHER OF ALL GRAPHITES;MARK OF THE NANOPENCIL;Quantum Electrodynamics Enters the Lab.
