Resumen de La diversidad funcional y las adaptaciones curriculares

  El presente artículo de revisión de tema hace referencia al currículo en la atención a la diversidad desde diferentes momentos históricos, iniciando con el enfoque tradicional (caracterizado por la exclusión), luego, el enfoque o modelo médico– rehabilitador (caracterizado por el asistencialismo y la segregación), hasta llegar a la escuela actual (enmarcada principalmente en los modelos social y para la diversidad). Lo anterior ha permitido la realización de adaptaciones pensadas en las potencialidades del estudiante como ser humano en su diversidad biológica, funcional, sexual y cultural. A través de la reflexión histórica y conceptual, se destaca actualmente cómo en la atención a la diversidad funcional se hace un mayor énfasis en los derechos y la dignidad humana.

  This article is presented as a topic revision; and refers to the curriculum about the attention given to the diversity from different historical moments, starting with the traditional approach (characterized by the exclusion), afterwards, the medical-rehabilitative (characterized by the assistentialism and the segregation), to reach the current school (framed mainly in the social model for the diversity). The aforementioned has allowed the creation of adaptations planned according to students’ potential as a human being in his biological, functional, sexual and cultural diversity. Through the historical and conceptual reflection, it is currently highlighted on how in the attention for the functional diversity there is a major emphasis on the human rights and on the human dignity.
