  • This article discusses the development of standards for oncologists discussing financial aspects of cancer treatment in their consultations. These guidelines, being developed by the American Society of Clinical Oncologists and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, are intended to ensure that patients make informed decisions about treatment. The ethical aspects of health care finance are also discussed.
