The article presents an overview of array radio dishes that are being used by scientists in 2008 to make discoveries in the field of radio astronomy. A discussion of the first discovery of radio waves in space, which was accomplished by Bell Telephone Laboratories engineer Karle Guthe Jansky in 1932, is presented.
