  • This article discusses research, published in the October 1, 2008 issue of the "Journal of the American Medical Association," into the efficacy of psychotherapy. This meta-analysis looked at 23 studies of psychodynamic therapy for evidence of the effective treatment of mental problems. The cost effectiveness of psychotherapy is also analysed.
