  • The article reports that the United States Environmental Protection Agency refuses to ban the dichlorvos (DDVP) household pesticide 25 years after outlawing the chemical was first considered. DDVP is a carcinogen and can be harmful to the brain and nervous system, especially in children. The Natural Resources Defense Council has sued the EPA over their refusal to ban the substance.
