Resumen de Lev Tolstói pelo prisma da literatura contemporânea: analise da poética dos gêneros documentais.

The objective of this article is to explore the poetics of documental literature, nonfiction, and more specifically the poetics of biographical narration represented in the books The Last Station by Jay Parini, The Escape from Paradise by Pavel Basinsky, and Go Away from Everybody: Leo Tolstoy as a Russian Pilgrim by Igor Volgin. All the books deal with the last years of Tolstoy’s life and are based on real facts, diaries of the writer, documents, testimonies and memories in an attempt to reduce creative invention to a minimum. Such books form a unique documental metatext integrates different and, sometimes, opposite points of view concerning the authoritative figure of Tolstoy. The theoretical basis of the analysis of genre of documental literature was developed by focusing on approaches elaborated by Russian formalists and semioticians.

O objetivo deste artigo é explorar a poética da literatura documental, nonfiction, e, mais especificamente, a poética da narrativa biográfica representada nos livros The Last Station, de Jay Parini, A fuga do paraíso, de Pavel Bassínski e Retirar-se de todos: Lev Tolstói como peregrino russo, de Igor Vólguin. Todas as obras tratam dos últimos anos da vida de Lev Tolstói e baseiam-se nos fatos reais, diários do escritor, documentos, depoimentos e memórias, tentando reduzir ao mínimo a invenção criativa. Juntos, os livros formam um único metatexto documentalístico, que integra diferentes, e às vezes opostos, pontos de vista em relação à figura magistral de Tolstói. Os fundamentos teóricos da analise do gênero da literatura documental foram construídos a partir das abordagens elaboradas pelos formalistas e semioticistas russos.
