La digitalización y virtualización de los asuntos humanos está transformando el mundo de la vida y creando un nuevo paradigma -en todos los sentidos de la palabra- que resulta muy importante para los debates éticos y políticos. Hay grandes oportunidades, claro, pero también nuevas clases de alienación. La aparición de una subjetividad digital en el entorno de la cultura-red capitalista y el espionaje masivo a los individuos replantean la ecuación entre seguridad y libertad, de cara a salvaguardar la autonomía personal.

The digitalization and virtualization of human subjects is transforming the world of life and creating a new paradigm -in all the senses of the word- that becomes very important for ethical and political discussions. There are big opportunities, sure, but also new kinds of alienation. The appearance of a digital subjectivity in the environment of the capitalist net-culture and the massive spying of the individuals restate the equation between liberty and security, in order to save the personal autonomy.
