El texto pretende reformular la visión del nacimiento de la filosofía en términos político-religiosos, a través de un análisis general de tres grandes movimientos espirituales de la Antigüedad: platonismo, pitagorismo y orfismo. Normalmente se concibe el nacimiento de la filosofía como un cambio del mito a la razón, sin embargo, poniendo atención a las fuentes clásicas, se puede notar el peso religioso y político de semejante transformación. El objetivo de estos tres movimientos era derrocar la religión homérica oficial.

The text aims to reformulate the vision of the birth of philosophy in religious terms, through a comprehensive analysis of three great spiritual movements of Antiquity: Platonism, Pythagorism, and Orphism. We usually see the birth of philosophy as a change from myth to reason; however, paying attention to the classical sources, you may notice the religious and political weight of such transformation. These three movements aimed at overthrowing the Homeric religion.
