"The main problem we have is that there are no standards, so anybody can call anything they want 'graphene'. This is a big problem," [Ivan Buckley] told IM.
"It's only industry that can tell you if [a given material] doesn't work. Through the NGI, we can work towards discovering what a so-called 'killer application' might be," Buckley explained.
"People get hung up on price, but the point is you have to look at the whole value chain in terms of graphene. Pristine graphene is expensive, but this is only suited to certain applications. One gram of pristine graphene covers two and a half square metres, you don't need an awful lot of it," Buckley told IM.
