  • "[With the Checkfire system] we're protecting lead time, we're protecting downtime, and safety. It's paramount for us, and it's paramount we protect the operator, but in the real world a lot of it is about assets, production," [Ronnie Drugan] said.

    "If we can keep the assets running, whether that might be in mining, forestry - wherever - keep those vehicles running, that means they're running safely, the operator's safe and they're generating income for the organisation," he said.

    "Another technical advantage we've got in our system over some of our competitors is that now we have something like a 4,000 event history, so we can actually take to our clients or customers or distributors an event who say, 'Oh we've had a false alarm', and we can download the buffer history in the field, take it back into their office and show them what has gone wrong, with a real date stamp, time clock and all those things. So it is a big leap forward for us in technology and it's way ahead of what customers have seen before," Drugan told IM.
