    "I couldn't tell you what I think the killer application for graphene will be, but I would guess that whatever it is hasn't been discovered yet," one delegate, who wanted to remain anonymous, said.

    Mark Rahn, investment manager at venture capital fund MTI Ventures, explained that it is tracking more than 145 companies that have publicly disclosed interests in graphene and, based on MTI's findings, "the time to invest is now".
