DIC CEO David Smoot has made public comments indicating that DIC will look at selling Almatis.
While profitable, Almatis is being sold off by DIC as part of an attempted restructuring. Part of the Dubai Holding sovereign wealth fund of the United Arab Emirates, DIC lost out heavily in the financial crisis of 2008-onwards.
