Resumen de Normes en terminologie officielle (France, 1996-2014)

The terminological activity in practice at the heart of the enrichment of French language official process is naturally linked to a normative, prescriptive framework. Published results are in theory the fruit of consensual positions and choices. But can consensus be reached without conflict? To answer this question, it is worthwhile to analyze the nature of these choices face to face with the diversity of participants, situations and terms in question, and to study the reflection stages and the formulation of the final decisions. This presentation will recall the official instructions and norms and trace the steps of their application, as well as the reactions they can induce. The field of study used for this article consists of the official corpus of terms and definitions published between 1996 and 2014.

L'activité terminologique pratiquée au coeur du dispositif officiel d'Enrichissement de la langue française est naturellement liée à un cadre normatif, prescriptif. Les résultats publiés se doivent théoriquement d'étre le fruit de positions et de choix consensuels. Mais le consensus s'obtient-il sans conflit ? Pour répondre a cette question, il est instructif de s'interroger sur la nature de ces choix face à la diversité des participants, des situations et des termes en jeu, et d'étudier ce qui peut caractériser les étapes des réflexions au cours du processus analysé et les décisions finalement prises. Cette présentation rappellera les normes que sont les consignes officielles et retracera des cheminements de leur application, aussi bien que de leur réception, ainsi que des réactions qu'elles peuvent engendrer. Le terrain d'étude utilisé pour cet article est constitué du corpus officiel de termes et de définitions publiés entre 1996 et 2014.
