Representaciones sociales: aspectos básicos e implicaciones para la psicología

    En torno a las representaciones sociales se ha señalado su complejidad. De ahi que este trabajo obedezca, en primer lugar, al interes de la autora por contribuir al debate teórico sobre el tema, pues esta teoria intenta superar la tradición reduccionista en la psicologia social, producto de la influencia anglosajona que ha llevado a u na individualización de lo social. Es, por eso, u na oportunidad para rescatar la integralidad en psicología, aspecto que, si bien se plantea desde la concepción biopsicosocial del ser humano, no siempre resulta facil llevarlo a la practica y con mayor dificultad en terminos de investigación. De manera mas concreta, las dicotomías individuo-sociedad y naturaleza-cultura han sido predominantes en Ja historia de las ciencias sociales; la teoría de las representaciones sociales que aqui se presenta, a pesar de sus puntos por resolver, intenta superar esas dicotomias. Se parte de los orígenes del termino y los desarrollos en la obra de su principal exponente, Serge Moscovici . En segundo lugar, se trabajan los aspectos conceptuales básicos desde las definiciones de diferentes autores. Un tercer punto considera los acercamientos metodológicos a las representaciones sociales. Seguidamente, se abordan los tópicos que estan en discusión en esta tematica y, por ultimo, aparecen las conclusiones, en las que se plantea la necesidad de continuar trabajando en algunos temas , asi como l as implicaciones de las representaciones sociales para el contexto de violencia en Colombia y para el curriculo de psicologia.

    Around the social representations its complexity has been pointed out. For this reason this work obeys, in the first place, to the interest of the author to contribute to the theoretical debate on the subject, since this theory tries to surpass the reduccionista tradition in social psychology, product of the Anglo-Saxon influence that has leaded to an individualization of the social. It is for this reason, an opportunity to rescue the integralidad in psychology, an aspect that, although it is considered from the biopsicosocial conception of the human being, it is not always easy to take to the practice and with a greater difficulty in investigation terms.

    In a more concrete way, the dichotomies individual-society and natura-culture have been predominant in the history of social sciences; the theory of the social representations that is presented here, in spite of its points to solve, tries to surpass those dichotomies. It starts with the origins of the term and the developments in the work of its main exponent, Serge Moscovici. Secondly, it is worked on the basic conceptual aspects from the definitions of different authors. A third point considers the methodological approaches to the social representations. Next, the topics that are in discussion in this thematic are approached and, finally, the conclusions appear, in which the necessity to continue working in some subject is considered, as well as the implications of the social representations for the context of violence in Colombia and for the curriculum of psychology.
