Salud sexual y reproductiva: diagnóstico en la costa caribe colombiana

    Este estudio analítico sobre el estado actual de la salud sexual y reproductiva se realizó con base en una serie de entrevistas dirigidas a las autoridades gubernamentales relacionadas con el tema de la sexualidad y a una revisión de la bibliografia sobre el tema en el Caribe colombiano. Esta investigación tuvo como ejes centrales los 8 puntos propuestos por Flores Colombino (2002), a saber:

    1) Compromiso político 2) Políticas explícitas 3) Legislación 4) Buena educación sexual 5) Infraestructura suficiente 6) Investigación 7) Vigilancia adecuada 8) Cultura.

    Se presentan los puntos positivos y negativos encontrados en cada eje y se plantean posibles soluciones.

    This analytical study ofthe actual state ofthe sexual and reproductive health was made based on a series of interviews to the governmental authorities related to the sexuality subject and on a bibliographic revision about this subject in the Colombian Caribbean. This investigation had the 8 proposed points by Flores Colombino (2002) as the central axes:

    1) political commitment, 2) explicit policies, 3) legislation, 4) good sexual education, 5) sufficient Infrastructure, 6) investigation, 7) suitable monitoring, and 8) culture.

    The positive and negative points found in each axis are presented and possible solutions are considered.
