    Introdução e objetivo: Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a influência, interação e desempenho do key-player na fase ofensiva do jogo de Futebol. Foram analisados três jogos da equipa de U21 do Chelsea Football Club, integrados no campeonato Inglês. Materiais e Métodos: Para mensurar a influência do key-player no decorrer dos três jogos, usámos o programa VideObserver: Sport Vídeo Analysis®. Foram analisadas todas as situações de finalização realizadas pelos jogadores e o comportamento intra-equipa, aferindo-se assim os atletas mais influentes na construção das ações de jogo. Resultados: Os resultados indicam que o key-player realizou o maior número de interações no cômputo geral dos três jogos, principalmente através da realização de passes e cruzamentos. Neste seguimento, verifica-se uma tendência de o key-player atuar preferencialmente no meio campo, assumindo, igualmente, uma ação importante em várias zonas do campo. Este tipo de jogador tende a ser preponderante na transição do processo defensivo para o processo ofensivo da equipa. Discussão e conclusão: Os resultados deste estudo permitem concluir que o desempenho do key-player em equipas jovens pode estar relacionado com o número de interações e conexões estabelecidas com os seus pares. Deste modo, além do jogar, um key-player faz a equipa jogar e rege o seu desempenho ao longo do jogo.

    ABSTRACT Influence, interaction and performance of key player in football matchIntroduction and objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the influence, interaction and performance of the key player in the offensive phase of a football match. Integrated in the English football league (Barclays U21 Premier League and Premier League International Cup), three matches from the U21 team of Chelsea Football Club were analyzed. Material and Methods: To measure the influence of the key player throughout the three matches, the program Videobserver Sport Vídeo Analysis® was used. This allowed the analysis of all the finalization situations performed by the players and the intra-team behavior, assessing, thus, the most influential athletes in the construction of the game actions. Results: The results indicated that the key-player accomplished the higher number of interactions in the general reckoning of the three matches, especially concerning passes and crosses. This type of player tends to be overriding in the transition of the defense process to the offense process of the team. Discussion and conclusion: We concluded that the performance of the key-player in young teams can be related to the number of interactions and connections established with his peers. In that sense, besides playing, a key-player makes the team play and conducts their performance throughout the game.
