    Por segunda vez consecutiva en los Juegos Olímpicos las deportistas españolas han logrado más éxitos que sus compañeros masculinos. Esta circunstancia se ha visto reflejada en la repercusión que han tenido sus actuaciones en las páginas del Diario ABC, con un incremento en las informaciones publicadas: en los pasados Juegos de Río 2016 las noticias femeninas fueron casi la tercera parte de las reflejadas y aparecieron en dos de cada tres páginas del periódico. La tendencia que se observa es que el lector cada vez más busca las hazañas deportivas con independencia del sexo de quien las realiza.

    For the second time in a row, Spanish Sportswomen have achieved more successes in Olympic Games than their male fellows. That matter has been noticed in the repercussion of their actions on the pages of the ABC Newspaper, with an increase in published information: in the last Games of Rio 2016 women's news was almost a third of those reflected and appeared in two out of three pages of the paper. The trend observed is that the reader is increasingly looking for sporting exploits regardless of the sex of those who perform them.
