Resumen de Entrelaçamentos da crítica e da história: a temática negra em Tenda dos milagres

  In this paper, we aim to discuss aspects linked to the black population in Bahia, such as the representation of the social milieu, of human figures, cultural features, as well as from other features linked to the African tradition in Tent of Miracles (1969), by Jorge Amado. In this sense, we aim to articulate the author´s trajectory with the fictional universe of this artwork – which discusses the difference between the European influence and the religious practices, customs and inherited values of diverse African peoples transferred to Brazil as slaves. To do so, we consider the position that was assigned to Jorge Amado in the Brazilian literature by the critics, as well as factors from the situation that the country was experiencing at that time.

  Este trabalho propõe uma discussão sobre aspectos ligados à população negra na Bahia, a partir da representação do meio social, de figuras humanas, traços culturais, bem como de outros fatores vinculados à tradição africana em Tenda dos milagres (1969), de Jorge Amado. Nesse sentido, procura articular a trajetória do autor com o universo ficcional da obra, que problematiza as diferenças entre a influência europeia e as práticas religiosas, costumes e valores herdados dos diversos povos africanos transferidos para o Brasil como escravos. Para tanto, leva em consideração a posição que a crítica atribuiu a Jorge Amado na literatura brasileira, bem como fatores do contexto em que o país vivia naquele momento.
