    Con la aparición del Sistema Interamericano de Derechos Humanos en el siglo XX y la Convención Americana, se fortalece la protección coercitiva de los derechos humanos, a través del ejercicio del denominado control de convencionalidad que ejerce la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos. Lo anterior supone por los Estados miembros del Tratado Constitutivo de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, garantizar los contenidos del citado tratadoLa metodología empleada en las presentes líneas fue cualitativa en el marco del método descriptivo.
