Breve acercamiento al estudio de la homofobia: un tema de actualidad

    Se realiza una revisión bibliográfica sobre la homofobia, con el objetivo de valorar el comportamiento de este fenómeno en la actualidad porque se constata que la homofobia forma todavía el imaginario social en la sociedad cubana actual y se expresa como una situación real y cotidiana. Esta secuela ideológica produce discriminación y estigma además se evidencia en el sufrimiento humano, en la salud física y mental, no sólo de las personas discriminadas, sino también en las que no están de acuerdo con estos comportamientos. Se utilizan los métodos histórico-lógicos, análisis y síntesis, las técnicas historia de vida y revisión documental. Las informaciones se utilizaron como sustento para desarrollar críticas y reflexiones en relación a la temática en el curso electivo de sexualidad.

    A bibliographical review is done on homophobia, with the target to value the behavior of this phenomenon at present because it is the imaginary social one in the current Cuban society and expresses itself like a real and daily situation. This ideological consequence produces discrimination and stigma and is demonstrated in the human suffering, in the physical and mental health, not only of the discriminated persons, but also in those who are not in agreement with this behavior. There were used the historical-logical methods, analysis and synthesis, the skills history of life and documentary review. The informations were used like sustenance to develop criticism and reflections as regards the subject-matter in the sexuality elective course.
