Análisis de los materiales constituyentes de la policromía

    En este artículo se describe la metodología científica aplicada a la conservación y restauración de la Reja de la Capilla del Espíritu Santo de la Catedral de Sigüenza.

    Para ello se han tomado diversas muestras en el anverso y reverso de la reja y han sido analizadas por diferentes técnicas analíticas. Los resultados obtenidos de los análisis han pretendido alcanzar los siguientes objetivos: por un lado, la caracterización de los materiales originales constitutivos que nos permitan conocer la técnica de ejecución de estos bienes culturales y, por otro lado, la determinación de los materiales añadidos en intervenciones posteriores así como el estudio de posibles alteraciones.

    This article presents the scientific methodology applied to the conservation and restoration of the grate of the Relics Chapel of the Cathedral of Sigüenza.

    For this, have taken several samples in the front and back of the grate and have been analyzed by different analytical techniques. The results obtained of the analyzes have attempted to achieve the following objectives: on the one hand, the characterization of the constituent original materials that allow us to know the technical execution of these cultural property and on the other hand, the determination of the materials added in subsequent interventions and the study of possible alterations.
