En este artículo se estudia la presencia de Roma en el municipio de Santisteban del Puerto, la antigua Ilugo, a través de un breve recorrido por las distintas etapas de la romanización de Hispania y a través de un minucioso examen de las inscripciones latinas halladas en su territorio: cuatro dedicadas a emperadores romanos (Tiberio, Trajano, Adriano) y veintidós funerarias.

In this article we study the presence of Rome in the township of Santisteban del Puerto, the ancient Ilugo, through a brief itinerary along the different stages of the romanization of Hispania. It will also be done through a meticulous examination of Latin inscriptions found in its territory: four dedicated to Roman Emperors (Tiberius, Trajan, Hadrian) and twenty-two funerary inscriptions.
