  • Resumen
    • Mellin de Saint-Gelais is one of the very few French Renaissance poets whose works have circulated mainly, and almost exclusively, in manuscripts. His poems have been extensively copied in manuscript albums and sometimes falsely attributed to other poets. This article examines the forms of transmission of Saint-Gelais’ poetry: manuscripts, early editions or selected poems, posthumous and modern critical editions. It also provides sixteen poems written by Saint-Gelais that have been recovered from a manuscript album (formerly known as the «Album Th. Belin»). They are transcribed and annotated here for the first time.
