  • Resumen
    • The impetus for this study is the anticipated transformation of Europe that wil have resulted from the final elimination in 1993 of rade barriers among the 12 member countries of the European Union (EU). The creation of one huge market of 340 million people will enable marketers in the EU to direct their efforts to a market larger than US. Enormous savings in production costs are anticipated. However, the historic reorganization of Europe rises some important questions for each country of the EU. Eill the economic benefits of the EU be shared equally by all member countires and individual business firms? Are business firms in each of the member countries equally prepared to exploit the opportunities presented by this historic change?
