    En este artículo se hace un estudio de la traducción y el Comentario del Cantar de los Cantares realizados por fray Luis de León en idioma caste-llano. Nos interesa ofrecer ángulos sobre el paradigma místico-erótico que sirve de referencia a esta obra, tanto en su vertiente judeocristiana como clásica grecolatina, por lo que se contrastan entre sí. Asimismo, se tendrá en cuenta lo relativo a la interpretación y la historia de la recepción del texto bíblico con base en la hermenéutica de Paul Ricoeur.

    This paper offers a study of fray Luis de León’s Spanish trans-lation of the Song of songs as well as of his Comentario on the same text. It aims to shed light on the mystic-erotic paradigm, which underlies this work, as this paradigm is conceived in both the Judeo-Christian and the Greco-Roman traditions. In addition, attention is paid to questions concerning the interpretation and reception of the biblical text, as outlined in the herme-neutic work of Paul Ricoeur.
