In small rooms, at frequencies lower than Schroeder’s where the modal density is low, interference phenomena generate irregular responses, causing a coloration dependent on the receiver’s position. An analytical prediction based on rigid boundary conditions is often the main tool for its evaluation. In this communication the pressure values obtained both analytically and by a measurement procedure for different conditioning configurations of a recording room are discussed. For the tasks of prediction, measurement, analysis and representation an application created for the purpose in Matlab is presented.
