  • Located in the town of Lumberton, the site will require around 10m lbs per annum (4,536 tpa) graphite feedstock by full operation in December 2016, Kevin Miller, Asbury's product manager, told IM.

    Once operational, Asbury's GNP plant will require both natural and synthetic graphite feedstock, which Asbury intends to source from both international and domestic suppliers.

    Miller told IM that Asbury's GNP product lines have Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface areas - a key industry performance metric - of around 125m[superscript]2 /g GNP to 400m[superscript]2 /g GNP.
