Resumen de Screening Tests for Colorectal Cancer
In the June 21, 2016, issue of JAMA, the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) published updated recommendations on screening for colorectal cancer.
There are several different types of tests that can be used. The USPSTF does not specifically recommend using one test over another.
There are pros and cons to each test, as described in the table below. As a patient, you should talk to your doctor about your preferences, keeping in mind that any type of screening is better than no screening. Not all types of testing are available everywhere.
