Evaluación del crecimiento de las Plantaciones de Tectona grandis l.f en la Unidad Silvícola Mayarí

    La evaluación de las plantaciones forestales en Cuba, es una necesidad para conocer el crecimiento y rendimiento de la misma y poder proponer los manejos silvícolas, en los bosques plantados. Con el objetivo de evaluar el crecimiento de las plantaciones de Tectona grandis L.f, en la Unidad Silvícola Mayarí, localidad Segundo Frente, Santiago de Cuba, se realizó un estudio en plantaciones de cinco y trece años de edad, establecidas en suelo Pardo sin carbonato donde se levantaron parcelas temporales de forma rectangulares.. El muestreo para la evaluación se realizó completamente al azar. Se tomó los diámetros y alturas de los árboles en las parcelas. Se calculó la altura dominante, de los 100 árboles más gruesos por hectárea, se infirió el volumen por hectárea a partir del volumen de las parcelas de 500 m2, los diámetros más representativos para el Sitio 1 fueron 18, 20 y 22 cm y las alturas 8, 9, 10 m, en el sitio 2 fueron 8 y 10 cm para diámetro, y la alturas 3 y 6 m. La estimación del crecimiento está dada por el incremento medio anual para el diámetro que fue de 1,4 y 1,6 cm/año y para la altura de 0,70 y 0,96 m/año en los Sitios 1 y 2 respectivamente. El incremento medio anual del volumen/hectárea fueron de 6,92 y 2,13 m3/ha/año.

    The management of the forests has increased significantly in the last years, as consequence of the shortage of the wood of the natural forest and of the growing demand of forest products on the part of the population. With the objective of evaluate the growing in the plantations of Tectona grandis L. F. of the Unit Silvícola Mayarí, in the municipality II Frente, Santiago de Cuba, it was made an study in plantations of five and thirteen years, established in brown soild without carbonate where squared parcels were determined. The samples were taken completely in a random way. It was took the diameters and heights of the trees in the parcels. The dominant height was calculated of the 100 most weight trees for hectare, the volume of the hectare was inferred by de volume of the parcels of 500 m2, the diameter more representative for the forest Place 1 were 18, 20 and 22 cm and for the forest Place 2 were 8 and 10 cm; the most representative heights 8, 9, 10 m for the forest Place 1 and, 3 and 6 m for the forest Place 2. The half annual increment for the diameter was of 1,4 and 1,6 cm/year and for the height of 0,70 and 0,96 m/year in the Places forest 1 and 2 respectively; the half annual increment of the volume/hectare was of 6,92 and 2,13 m3/ha/year.
