  • Resumen
    • When we walk across the city, we perceive the noise from different vehicles, cars, motorcycles, buses, etc. Road traffic is a source of nuisance everywhere. Vehicle noise control is achieved by means of direct measurments on random units off the manufacturing line, before hitting the market. Actually, noise level is measured as the maximum A-weighted sound pressure level (A-SPL) reached during the full acceleration test as described in ISO-R362. We noted that the noise in cities is very different from the noise the control measurrement reflects. A-SPL does not adequately reflect "real conditions" in the city. B-weighted soun pressure level (B-SPL) seems to better reflect the nuisance citizens perceive
