Resumen de Perfil de los viajeros motivados por compras Argentinos que viajan a Chile

  El turismo de compras es una modalidad que en la actualidad se ha convertido en un componente importante de la experiencia de viaje total y, en algunos casos, la motivación principal. Los viajes a Chile por compras por parte de los residentes de Argentina, en general, y de las provincias de Neuquén y Río Negro, en particular, se han intensificado en los últimos años, lo que conlleva a una baja en las ventas de productos y servicios, situación que preocupa al sector comercial y de servicios de las principales ciudades de ambas provincias.

  El objetivo de este estudio fue profundizar en el conocimiento del comportamiento del viajero hacia Chile por compras, identificando perfiles y subsegmentos dentro de la tipología. Se identificaron cuatro segmentos de mercado. Los resultados de este trabajo permitirán al sector de gobierno y comercial de las ciudades en estudio, adecuar sus estrategias y tácticas de marketing para mitigar la situación.

  At present, shopping tourism has become a key component of the whole travel experience; and, in some cases, the main travel motivation. Shopping trips to Chile by Argentine citizens, in general, and by residents of Neuquén and Río Negro provinces, in particular, have escalated in recent years. This has led to a decrease in sales of products and services, a situation that concerns the commercial and service sectors of the main cities of both provinces.

  This study aims to deepen the knowledge of the traveler's behavior going to Chile for shopping purposes, identifying their profiles and the sub-segments within the typology. Four market segments were identified. The results of this work will allow the government and commercial sector of the cities involved to adapt their strategies and marketing tactics with a view to mitigating this situation.
