Resumen de Percepción de los residentes respecto a la rehabilitación y uso turístico-recreativo del centro histórico de Aguascalientes

  La ciudad de Aguascalientes fue fundada en el año 1575 y a pesar del tiempo transcurrido, su centro histórico aún conserva una serie de características patrimoniales que forman parte de la oferta turística-cultural de la localidad. Tan es así, que el 1º de agosto del 2010, un tramo del conjunto histórico fue incluido, junto con otros inmuebles del estado, en la declaratoria de Patrimonio de la Humanidad del Camino Real de Tierra Adentro por parte de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO). En los últimos años, el espacio urbano de la capital ha sufrido una serie de intervenciones con el objetivo de mejorar la imagen y conservar el patrimonio edificado. Aunado a lo anterior, se ha dado un efecto de apropiación del espacio por parte de los ciudadanos y ello ha derivado en un cambio en el uso que se hace del centro histórico. El estudio, analiza de manera descriptiva el uso turístico–recreativo así como los efectos que éste propicia en un sector específico del centro histórico de la ciudad de Aguascalientes. Para lograr lo anterior, se aplicaron una serie de instrumentos con el fin de integrar un inventario de las empresas instaladas en el perímetro determinado así como a residentes para conocer su percepción respecto al fenómeno citado. Dentro de los principales resultados se observa un cambio en la preferencia de consumo de servicios de entretenimiento así como una serie de impactos, positivos y negativos en el área de influencia, motivados por esta nueva apreciación y valoración del centro histórico de Aguascalientes.

  The city of Aguascalientes was founded in the year 1575 and in spite of the passed time, its historic center still retains a number of heritage features that are part of the tourist supply of the town. So much so, that on August 1, 2010, a section of the historical buildings was included, along with other properties of the state, in to the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, an UNESCO World Heritage site.In recent years, the urban space of the capital has undergone a series of interventions with the aim of improving the image and keep the built heritage. In addition to the above, there has been ancitizens’ effect of space appropriation and this has resulted in a change in the use of the historic center. This study analyzes in a descriptive manner the tourist-recreational use as well as the effects that this leads in a specific area of the historic center of Aguascalientes cuty. To achieve this, a series of instruments were applied in order to integrate an inventory of the companies installed in the perimeter as well as to understand redidents’ perception of the phenomenon. Within the main results there can be seen a change in preference in the entertainment services consumption as well as a series of positive and negative impacts in the area of influence, motivated by this new appreciation and valuation of the Aguascalientes historical center.
