    Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo determinar el estado actual del bosque siempre verde montano de la comunidad de Guangras en la Parroquia Achupallas, Ecuador. Se establecieron 4 transeptos de 3 600 m2 cada uno, dos en la parte baja y dos en la parte alta del área, distribuidos al azar, se realizó un estudio florístico, determinándose la diversidad y el Índice de valor de importancia ecológica. Como resultados se identifican un total de 18 especies arbóreas pertenecientes a 15 familias y 15 géneros siendo las más representativas las familias Cunoniaceae, Asteraceae y Myrtaceae, las especies de mayor IVIE resultaron Miconiasp, Aegiphilasp y Weinmannia mariquitae.

    This work aimed to determine the current state of the evergreen forest of the community of Guangras in the Achupallas Parish, Ecuador. Four transepts of 3,600 m2 each, two in the lower part and two in the upper part of the area, were randomly distributed, a floristic study was carried out, determining the diversity and the Ecologically Important Value Index. As results we identify a total of 18 tree species belonging to 15 families and 15 genera being the most representative families Cunoniaceae, Asteraceae and Myrtaceae, the species of major IVIE resulted Miconia sp, Aegiphila sp and Weinmannia mariquitae.
