El vínculo Irán-Al Qaeda: más allá de la división sectaria

    La relación entre Irán y Al Qaeda representa, quizá, una de las mayores incongruencias, a la vez que uno de los aspectos menos comprendidos ni clarificados hasta la actualidad.

    A pesar de que a lo largo de más de una década múltiples informes han puesto en evidencia un posible nexo entre la República Islámica de corte chií y la organización terrorista suní, sigue sin haber evidencias claras acerca del tipo de relación que ambos mantienen, dado que las teorías en este sentido varían ampliamente.

    El presente artículo pretende poner de manifiesto el vínculo Irán-Al Qaeda, en base a las últimas pruebas en este sentido, siguiendo la premisa de que el carácter antinatural de su relación no ha sido un obstáculo en la cooperación mutua en pos de un objetivo común: enfrentar a Estados Unidos y a Israel.

    The relationship between Iran and Al-Qa´ida represents, perhaps, one of the biggest inconsistencies, while one of the least understood nor clarified aspect until today. In spite of the fact that to length of more than one decade multiple reports have revealed a possible link between the Shiite Islamic Republic and the Sunni terrorist organization, it is still no clear evidence about the type of relationship that both support, since the theories about this vary widely. This article aims to highlight the link Iran-Al-Qa´ida, based on the latest evidence in this regard, according to the premise that the unnatural character of their relationship has not been an obstacle in the mutual cooperation in pursuit of a common goal: confront the United States and Israel.
