The tragic story of Sidney Crosby's layoff due to concussions has not been sufficient for society to hang its head in shame and stop violent play immediately (p. 1). While the story was accompanied by "nay-sayers" [i.e., others from the medical community who said more data were needed before one could take a definitive stance]-in other words, Kale was not given absolute credence-there is an important lesson in this story for us as Canadian occupational therapists.
