Uma política sem rosto. Zapatismo e voz

    Based on the image of the mouth, which, according to Derrida, pierces a hole in the face and implements an ethics that precedes the subject, this article wishes to comprehend the politics of the EZLN in regard to its linguistic policies and its strategies for going up against the biopolitical model that etches the line dividing silence and speech, or noise and speech. The article begins with an analysis of the last public speech pronounced by Subcomandante Marcos and, as a result, alongside other Zapatista declarations, seeks to draw some hypotheses on the aesthetics and ethics devised by the EZLN, never forgetting that there is no politics without form and that form may have a lot to say about politics. Finally, the text will ask questions regarding the issue “can the subaltern speak?”, considering that the figure of the subaltern may arise as an effect of this question.

    A partir da figura da boca, que, segundo Derrida, fura a face e instaura uma ética que antecede o sujeito, este artigo busca compreender a política do Exército Zapatista de Libertação Nacional [EZLN] no que diz respeito à sua política linguística e às suas estratégias de enfrentamento do modelo biopolítico que traça a linha divisória entre silêncio e fala, ou entre barulho e fala.

    O artigo começa com uma análise do último pronunciamento do Subcomandante Marcos e, em função disso, em conjunção com outras declarações zapatistas, procura traçar algumas hipóteses sobre a estética e a ética construída pelo EZLN, lembrando que não há política sem forma e que a forma pode dizer muito sobre uma política. Por fim, o texto fará perguntas acerca da pergunta “pode o subalterno falar?”, considerando que a figura do subalterno pode surgir como efeito dessa pergunta.
