Resumen de Implicaciones Socioeconómicas de la Semana Santa de Málaga como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial

El vigente marco constitucional en el que se consagra la libertad religiosa, ideológica y de culto además del derecho de asociación, son los fundamentos legales para la existencia de estas asociaciones religiosas con las concreciones que ofrece el Código de Derecho Canónico y los estatutos de las propias Hermandades. Los datos agregados por las propias Cofradías y Hermandades en cuanto a la nómina de cofrades se refiere permiten analizar la Semana Santa de Málaga como fenómeno social. Durante la semana mayor, el desarrollo de las procesiones lleva aparejado un fuerte desarrollo del sector servicios y del turismo que se traduce en una importante fuente de ingresos para la ciudad. El tejido social que aglutinan en su seno, explica el fuerte apoyo de la Administración Local en la construcción de las Casas de Hermandad erigidas como espacios abiertos a la sociedad en los que poder desarrollar diversas actividades. Además, se añade la importancia de la labor social de estas asociaciones con una importante contribución en las políticas sociales de la ciudad en el desarrollo de actos benéficos. En sus manifestaciones públicas, las Cofradías y Hermandades generan contrastes únicos con elementos tradicionales propios que se mezclan con el urbanismo de la ciudad, los cuales merecen especial atención y justifican su declaración como Manifestación Representativa del Patrimonio Cultural inmaterial por el Real Decreto 384/2017, de 8 de abril.

The current constitutional framework in which religious freedom, ideology and worship are enshrined in addition to the right of association, are the legal basis for the existence of these religious associations with the concreteness offered by the Code of Canon Law and the statutes of the own Brotherhoods. The data added by the Confraternities and Brotherhoods themselves regarding the list of cofrades refers to allow us to analyze the Holy Week of Malaga as a social phenomenon. During the greater week, the development of the processions leads to a strong development of the services and tourism sector, which translates into an important source of income for the city. The social fabric that agglutinates in its ambit, explains the strong support of the Local Administration in the construction of the Houses of Brotherhood build as open spaces to the society in which to be able to develop diverse activities. In addition, the importance of the social work of these associations is added with an important contribution in the social policies of the city in the development of charitable acts. In their public manifestations, the Confraternities and Brotherhoods generate unique contrasts with their own traditional elements that are mixed with the urbanism of the city, which deserve special attention and justify its declaration as Representative Manifestation of Intangible Cultural Heritage by Royal Decree 384/2017, of 8 of April.
