Estas once cartas inéditas trazan durante un período de más de cuarenta años (1952-95) la relación de estima y amistad que unió al poeta Rafael Morales con el crítico y traductor italiano Oreste Macrí. La edición que ofrecemos, ampliamente anotada, intenta reconstruir su contexto, valorando la recepción de la obra poética y siguiendo su iter de traducción. Referencias a libros, premios, homenajes se alternan a comentarios sobre la poesía, y a más personales reflexiones o recuerdos de amigos comunes.

These eleven non-published letters mark the relationship of esteem and friendship that linked the poet Rafael Morales and the Italian translator and scholar Oreste Macrí during a period of more than forty years (1952-95). The edition we offer, extensively annotated, tries to reconstruct its context, while studying the fortune of the poetic work and following the process of translation. References to books, prizes, homages, intertwine with comments on poetry and more intimate reflections and memories of mutual friends.
