  • Resumen
    • Analyze and identify many mathematical features of the SkyView Ferris to discuss circumference, angles of polygons, the parametric form of conic sections, periodic functions, and related rates, are discussed. The SkyView Ferris wheel is made up of 42 pairs of wheel spokes that extend from the center axle of the Ferris wheel out to the gondolas, along with the trailer chassis, wheel support towers, and wheel cross-members. Moreover, analyzing questions such as suppose the Ferris wheel has a diameter of 166 feet and completes a revolution in 1 minute and 10 seconds, if begin the ride sitting in a gondola at 34 feet above the ground, how high will a person be 10 seconds into the ride and suppose the Ferris wheel rotates at two revolutions per minute, determine its linear speed in ft./sec.
