Resumen de Judgement on camels- or fiction?
The evidence strongly suggests that the text presented here is a report of court proceedings about camels. However, two peculiarities might point in a different direction: ( 1 ) the personal name Adikran which is mentioned only in Herodotus 4.159 as a king of the Libyans; (2) the phrase ταυ δέ μετρίου φροντίζων, which recalls a rhetorical context. Could this be a description of a court scene in a novel?
