    El artículo aborda la segregación escolar en la Comunidad Autónoma de la Región de Murcia. En la primera parte, a través de un estudio de carácter cuantitativo, analizamos la extensión del fenómeno, mostrando la distribución del alumnado entre las redes educativas pública y privada en la región, por municipios y según la nacionalidad de los alumnos. En la segunda parte, a través de un estudio etnográfico realizado en un municipio de la comarca de Cartagena-Mar Menor, analizamos y describimos el dispositivo segregador que promueve la concentración del alumnado y la guetización de los centros locales.

    The article addresses scholastic segregation in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia. In the first part we analyze, through a quantitative study, the extent of the phenomenon, showing the distribution of students between the public and private educational networks at the regional level, by municipalities and according to the nationality of the students. In the second part, through an ethnographic study conducted in a municipality of the Cartagena-Mar Menor region, we analyze and describe the segregating device that promotes the concentration of students and the ghettoisation of centres at the local level.
