    Este artículo examina el repertorio de imágenes periodísticas del periódico más importante de Colombia: El Tiempo. El corpus de estudio está integrado por 126 piezas gráficas correspondientes a una edición del periódico de un día domingo, de septiembre de 2015. Se construyó un esquema de clasificación y tamizaje de imágenes a partir de criterios binarios y jerarquizados que permite registrar el origen y autoría del material gráfico estudiando y el tipo de relaciones que guarda con acontecimientos y eventos de la actualidad, y la naturaleza temporal de las piezas. El estudio sugiere una suerte de empobrecimiento y erosión de la densidad y riqueza informativa del material gráfico, en particular el fotográfico, en el diario colombiano.

    This article examines the informative and journalistic repertoire of the most important newspaper in Colombia: El Tiempo. The corpus of study consists of 126 graphic pieces corresponding to an edition of the newspaper on a Sunday, September 2015. Classification scheme and screening images are constructed from binary and hierarchical criteria that records the origin and authorship of studying graphic material and the type of relations it has with events and current events, and the temporary nature of the pieces. The study suggests a kind of impoverishment and erosion of the density and richness of graphic material information, including photographic, in the Colombian newspaper
