Resumen de Evaluación agronómica de tres cultivares y dos líneas de tomate (Solanum lycopersicum mill) en el municipio Majibacoa, provincia las Tunas, Cuba

  El trabajo se desarrolló en la CCS “José Rodríguez López”, de la Empresa Pecuaria del municipio Majibacoa desde el 9 de octubre del 2008 al 14 de febrero del 2009 con el objetivo de evaluar el comportamiento agroproductivo de tres cultivares y dos líneas de tomate (Solanum lycopersicum Mill) en un suelo Salino antrópico cálcico lavado. Los tratamientos evaluados fueron: los cultivares Amalia, como testigo, Mercy, Mayle, y las líneas 53-3-83 y la 43. Se utilizó un diseño experimental de bloque al azar con cinco tratamientos y seis réplicas. Cada parcela contó con un área de 22 m2. Se evaluaron las siguientes variables fisiológicas: altura de la planta, diámetro del tallo, número de ramas por planta, inicio de la floración, racimos por planta, número de frutos por racimos, número de frutos por planta y rendimiento. Se realizó la evaluación económica por el método comparativo. El cultivar Amalia mostró la mejor respuesta en rendimiento agrícola y en la mayoría de las variables fisiológicas evaluadas. El cultivar Mayle y las líneas 53 -3-83 y 43 mostraron las menores respuestas.
