  • Resumen
    • Relying on close visual examination, colourant analysis and research into the history of anatomical printing, this contribution presents eveidence of the manufacture, assembly and use of sixteenth-century moveable anatomical prints. A comparison of the earliest known flap anatomy (designed and printed by Heinrich Vogtherr) with later prints that make use of the same woodblocks (by Vogtherr and Jakob Frölich) elucidates aspects of print shop practice by revealing different approaches to Renaissance anatomical printing.
