    Con la aprobación de la ley de creación del Colegio Oficial de Terapeutas Ocupacionales de Galicia (COTOGA), el movimiento asociativo de los terapeutas ocupacionales pasó a adquirir el estatus de corporación de derecho público, “con personalidad jurídica propia y plena capacidad para el cumplimiento de sus fines”. Desde la celebración de la asamblea constituyente el pasado 3 de junio, en la que se eligieron los órganos de gobierno, la junta electa ha estado trabajando para agilizar los trámites necesarios para poder comenzar a funcionar oficialmente como entidad, y empezar a ejercer tales derechos.

    El pasado 30 de octubre, se publicaba mediante decreto la aprobación de los estatutos del COTOGA, y se procedía a ordenar su inscripción en el Registro de Colegios Profesionales de la Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia, permitiéndonos, al fin, comenzar a funcionar oficialmente como entidad e iniciar la aventura que será seguir trabajando en pro del desarrollo y avance de nuestra disciplina

    With the approval of the law creating the Official College of Occupational Therapists of Galicia (COTOGA), the associative movement of occupational therapists went on to acquire the status of public law corporation, "with its own legal personality and full capacity for compliance with its purposes. " Since the holding of the constituent assembly on June 3, in which the government structures were elected, the members of the governance have been working to expedite the necessary procedures in order to begin officially functioning as an entity, and begin to exercise our rights.

    On October 30, the statutes of COTOGA were published by decree, and their registration was ordered in the Register of Professional Associations of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, allowing us, at last, to begin to function officially as an entity, and to begin the adventure that will be continuing to work towards the development and advancement of our discipline.
