In this paper, I examine some aspects of the feminine theme in the thought of José Ortega y Gasset through the analysis of Ortega’s Epílogo to the book De Francesca a Beatrice by Vicoria Ocampo. In addition, I analyze the Correspondencia between the philosopher and Helene Weyl to highlight the figure of a woman able to affirm herself in the German culture of the early decades of the twentieth century. Futhermore, I consider some María Zambrano’s articles about women taking part to the debate on the role of women in society during the era in which these intellectuals worked.
