First italian records of Cartodere (Aridius) bifasciata (Reitter, 1877) are given. This Australian species was passively introduced in Europe at least since the second half of the XIXth century and is there resident at least since the half of the XXth. The earliest observation in Italy known to us date back to 2007 (Trentino Alto Adige); the species is also recorded from Veneto and Emilia Romagna, both in antropic and natural environment. Vengono segnalati i primi reperti italiani di Cartodere (Aridius) bifasciata (Reitter, 1877), specie di origine Australiana intercettata in Europa almeno a partire dalla seconda metà del XIX secolo e insediatavi almeno dalla metà del XX. Il primo reperto italiano qui documentato è del 2007 (Trentino Alto Adige). La specie è inoltre presente in Veneto ed Emilia Romagna, sia in contesti antropici che naturali.
