  • The author discusses accounting information systems (AIS) which lack a focused definition at intersection of information and accounting system. Topics discussed include need for accounting programs which will focus on skills related with data mining and storage, dependence on big data and data analytics by public accounting firms for their service lines and impact of information technology (IT) environment on accounting profession.
