    situado a medio camino de la historia económica y social y de la historia imperial, este artículo estudia los intentos de la monarquía rusa de organizar la agrimensura de tierras del país desde el siglo XVii hasta mediados del siglo XiX. Lanzada en 1765, la Encuesta General de Tierras constituye un acontecimiento central, que ha contribuido a la emergencia del oficio de agrimensor en rusia. este estudio permite destacar la importancia de este proyecto en la obra de reforma de catalina ii. nuestra atención se centra en los servicios encargados a los agrimensores, las modalidades concretas de la puesta en práctica de la agrimensura y sus resultados, que reflejan la diversidad de los territorios y las realidades económicas y sociales del imperio ruso en aquella época.

    Halfway between economic and social history and imperial history, this article addresses the attempts of the Russian monarchy to organize land surveying in the country from the 17th century until the mid-19th century. Launched in 1765, the General Land Survey constitutes a key event, which has contributed to the emergence of the surveyor’s role in Russia. This study aims to highlight the importance of this project within the reform of Catherine II. Our attention is focused on the services that where entrusted to the surveyors, the specific models for the implementation of the surveying and their results, which reflect the diversity of the territories and the economic and social realities of the Russian Empire at that time.
